Pengyou Posted March 5, 2025 at 03:18 AM Report Posted March 5, 2025 at 03:18 AM I returned to the U.S. in July of 2022. I did nothing to my bank accounts or cell phone accounts before I left China. A friend in China was able to "recover" my weixin account for me. I have used it a couple of times. I contacted her recently (yesterday) and she said the following (she lives in China now): I can now acces it with my friend's phone, but if you try to access it om aother phone, you need information from both friends to verify. If you log in in America, you could be locked out again. Can you help me understand this? I have some Chinese friends in the US, who, I am sure still maintain their sim card from China, as well as a bank account etc. Can I get one of them to help? I have opened a new Weixin account online - Weixin International. I have more than 300 contacts in my addressbook - I was a teacher in China for more than 20 years - and am trying to stay in touch with them. At minimum, I am hoping that someone can export my contact list from my old account. I don't mind having to re-enter them and try to add them again. Any help would be appreciated. Tom Quote
