Hi everyone,

I am a graduate student in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language at National Taiwan University (NTU).

I am currently conducting a research study on Chinese syntax (specifically Existential Sentences) and L1 interference. I'm looking for Advanced Learners (HSK 6 / TOCFL Band C / or 4+ years of study) to help fill out a quick survey.

It consists of 20 sentences. You just need to rate them based on your first instinct/intuition (whether they sound natural or not). Some of them are designed to be quite tricky even for near-native speakers!

⏱️ Time required: Approx. 5 minutes

This is for my Term Paper, and getting data from serious learners like you on this forum would be incredibly helpful.

Feel free to discuss any sentences you found interesting in the comments (please use spoiler tags if you reveal answers!).

Thank you so much!
