👋  Looking for Mandarin Learners to Help Test a New Learning Platform

Hello! 

I’m building a new Mandarin learning platform called Bloom Chinese, and I’m currently looking for test users to try it out and give feedback!

We’re starting with a strong focus on HSK flashcards, and unlike other platforms like Pleco, Quizlet, or Anki, we’re designed to be more interactive, intuitive, and learner-friendly. Here’s what makes it different:

• Native audio for every card
• All-in-one flashcards — includes definitions, pinyin, example sentences, and usage notes
• Toggleable views — practice just pinyin, just English, or all together
• Smart categorization — easily mark words as correct, incorrect, or in progress
• Teacher-verified content — all materials reviewed by a certified teacher for accuracy and naturalness

We’ve also added:

• Pronunciation assessments

• Listening practice exercises

• Free reading exercises with quizzes (HSK 1–4)

I’m looking for learners (especially beginner to intermediate) to help test the platform and give feedback on what works and what can be improved.

It would be a good idea to offer Traditional too. Lots of people, even those learning Traditional, use the HSK word lists even if they have no plan to take the HSK.

I would be happy to help test the platform for you, although I am skeptical how this is any different than Hack Chinese at this stage.

Audience and range of capabilities are the major difference is the between us and Hack.

The ultimate goal of my website is to be platform for both the teacher / school and the student. I would partner with schools and teachers to add their own courses, grammar lessons, practice exercises and video lectures for their students to enroll in. For now, I'm focusing on flashcards because that's where I've completed the material, and is readily available to the public, however, I've actually already created functionality for the features I just mentioned (grammar lessons, pronunciation assessment, video lectures etc).
